WGE students and staff members were placed under a tornado warning this afternoon which was issued by the National Weather Service. Everyone on campus moved quickly into interior hallways to ensure safety during the warning. Please stay safe as the storm passes. We look forward to seeing everyone again Monday morning.

🌧️ Important Update: Tropical Storm & E-Learning 🌧️ Clarendon County School District Families, Due to the inclement weather, we will shift to e-learning on Monday, September 16. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students and families during this time. 📚 Students are required to: - Check their Google Classroom accounts to complete assignments by 11:59 PM on September 16. - Please note that assignments not submitted by the deadline will result in students being marked absent for the day. 🚍 Important Safety Reminder: It may be unsafe for transportation when wind gusts exceed 40 mph. Attendance Spirit Week
Clarendon County School District is beginning the process of screening students for possible placement in the Gifted and Talented Academic PRIDE Program. We conduct census testing of all 2nd graders . Students in grades 3 through 5 who are either new to the district or have not been identified through the standard evaluation process may be recommended for screening. The deadline for referrals is September 30, 2024. Referral forms can be obtained from the assistant principal’s office. Please see the attached.

Fall picture day is scheduled for Wednesday, September 11th. Students should bring home a Lifetouch information flyer prior to picture day. Students should also receive a QR code and ordering instructions after having their picture taken if you would like to purchase pictures after a proof is available online.
