"In Clarendon County School District, we recognize that it takes a village to educate and empower our children and build a learning culture in our schools. Our teachers and staff play an important role in ensuring that our students have a safe environment to excel and that change happens in the lives of our young adults, families, and the community.
We will recognize outstanding teachers and staff members who positively impact the Clarendon County School District each month. Teacher Feature of the Month and Staff Feature of the Month winners are nominated by and elected by their colleagues for excellence in their classroom and positive contributions to Clarendon County School District.
Congratulations to our featured teachers, Ms. Lyn Sullivan, WGE- Primary, Ms. Amanda Williamson, WGE- Elementary, and featured staff members, Ms. Samantha Pierce, WGE- Primary, and Ms. Beth Watts, WGE - Elementary. We are so thankful for you all!

Families Reading Every Day, or “FRED,” is a program that focuses on reading together as a family. The program goal is for families to read each day for 15 minutes. FRED is a fun and educational program that helps strengthen family bonds and helps support early literacy development. Our target groups are District 4K classes and the Montessori Classes at Manning Early Childhood Center.
With the help of Mrs. Gloria Johnson, CCSD FRED Project Coordinator, literacy bags will go home each Monday of the week and return to school the following Monday. Literacy bags will include two books and a poem activity. 📚
