F.E. DuBose Law Enforcement Program Announces CSI Youth Academy for Students in Grades 9-11
CSI Youth Academy in Clarendon County School District Open to High School Students
Manning, SC — March 12, 2024 — The F.E. DuBose Law Enforcement Program, in collaboration with the Clarendon County Sheriff's Office and the Manning Police Department, is excited to announce the launch of its CSI Youth Academy, which will be held April 16-18, 2024 from 4 pm-6 pm. This innovative three-day academy is designed for high school students in grades 9-12 interested in crime scene investigation and law enforcement careers. Students attending schools in Clarendon County School District may receive bus transportation from their school site to F.E. DuBose Career Center during the academy; however, a parent/guardian must be present for pickup at the end of the sessions at FEDCC each day.
Engage in Real-World CSI Activities
Participants will have the unique opportunity to dive into the world of crime scene investigation, engaging in hands-on activities such as:
- Crime Scene Processing
- Vehicle Searches
- Fingerprinting
- Evidence Collection
- Obstacle Course Challenge
These activities are designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the skills and knowledge required in law enforcement and crime scene investigation.
Learn from Trained Investigators
The training will be conducted by a team of experienced and trained investigators from the F.E. DuBose Career Center, Clarendon County Sheriff's Office, and the Manning Police Department. This presents a unique opportunity for students to learn directly from professionals in the field, gaining insights and experiences not typically available in a classroom setting.
Who Can Participate?
The CSI Academy is open to all high school students in grades 9-11 interested in exploring careers in law enforcement, crime scene investigation, or forensic science. We welcome students from diverse backgrounds to this exciting and educational experience.
